Global Intergenerational Congress – #GICScot26
The Global Intergenerational Congress invites thought leaders, practitioners, and researchers to contribute to a transformative dialogue that moves beyond discussion into meaningful action. Our aim is to create an environment where listening, trust, and collaboration lead to lasting relationships and innovative solutions for a world that values intergenerational practice as essential to everyday life.
Hosted by Generations Working Together, with support from expert researchers and practitioners worldwide, the Congress will feature cutting-edge research, projects, and practices across a wide range of intergenerational topics.
The full programme will be announced in Spring 2026, but here’s a glimpse:
• Day 1: Full programme at University of Strathclyde’s Innovation and Technology Centre (TIC), followed by a Civic Reception hosted by Glasgow City Council.
• Day 2: Another full programme at TIC, with networking opportunities via the Whova app and informal evening meetups.
• Day 3: The morning will focus on transformative change—how we move from ideas to action. Afternoon free for networking or exploring Glasgow, followed by
• GWT’s Excellence Awards Dinner and Hootenanny.
GWT hope to launch the call for sessions and papers and open early bird registration shortly before Christmas 2025. so keep an eye on the GWT website and on our socials.https://generationsworkingtogether.org/events/conference
