Webinar 1 – in a series of events on this subject

There is currently much concern about high levels of loneliness among young people. In this webinar series, we focus on experiences of loneliness at school, a main context for children and young people’s lives. During the school years, severe loneliness can have a negative impact on young people’s educational engagement and attainment, as well as their mental and physical health.  . This series is intended to bring together educationalists and others working with children and young people, and to encourage reflection, discussion and action on what can and should be done to address loneliness in schools.

In the first event of this series,, you will hear about Neighbourly Lab’s research into  co-designing action to reduce loneliness in secondary schools; Astree’s peer support approach to addressing loneliness at school, which is already well-established in France; and new work on school belonging by PiXL

This event is for school leaders and staff, professionals working with schools or supporting efforts to address loneliness among young people, and anyone with an interest in loneliness at school.
