Local authorities make decisions every day that shape how connected people feel to their communities. From libraries, parks and sports facilities to transport, planning, social care and public spaces, local government has a significant role to play in creating the conditions for social connection.

The London Borough of Bromley is one of a growing number of local authorities taking action to reduce loneliness and strengthen social health. In this webinar, we’ll explore what this looks like in practice, drawing on Bromley’s experience alongside examples from local authorities across the Home Nations.

The session will be facilitated by Helayna Jenkins MBE IEng, Community Partnerships Lead at the London Borough of Bromley, who will share policy insights, data and practical initiatives being used to improve social health across London’s largest borough.

This webinar is for local and central government colleagues, policymakers, practitioners and academic policy researchers interested in how local government can help reduce loneliness and social isolation.
