About

The Tackling Loneliness Hub is a space for anyone working to reduce loneliness – a community to connect, share, learn, and collaborate. Whether you are a volunteer, practitioner, researcher or policy-maker, the Hub’s resources are here to support your work.
The prevalence of loneliness in UK society is significant, with one in four adults reporting that they feel lonely (7% “often or always” and 18% “some of the time”) (ONS, 2025)
Loneliness is a normal human emotion: it signals to us that it is time to reach out and find a way to feel connected. However, for people navigating this experience it can be difficult to know where to start – particularly if someone feels lonely “often or always”.
The Tackling Loneliness Hub offers opportunities to share our knowledge and learn how to effectively support those struggling with loneliness. By working together, we can amplify our impact and bring about real change.
Join the Tackling Loneliness Hub community to:
- Connect with an established network of people working to reduce isolation, address loneliness and harness the power of positive social connection
- Collaborate to create change in our communities
- Inform your work with our expanding range of resources
- Share your own learning and research
