Translating Research into Practice series of webinars led by the Camapign to End Loneliness Speakers: Professor Chris Dayson, Sheffield Hallam University & Jessica Duffy, Good Practice Mentors This webinar is led by Professor Chris Dayson who is a leading international expert on the topic of social prescribing and is part of the National Academy for Social Prescribing’s International Evidence Collaborative. Prof. Chris will talk about the extent to which social prescribing can be used to reduce loneliness and improve social connectivity. He will be supported by a practitioner who works on a daily basis implementing social prescribing, who will provide a practical, hands on account of experiences of using social prescribing to tackle loneliness to complement Chris’s research perspective. The webinar will also feature a presentation from Jessica Duffy, Good Practice Mentor at Leeds Older Peoples’ Forum, who will provide a practitioner’s perspective, with practical tips for social prescribers.
